Three Plaza Areas at Qatar Museums Cultural District

Public Works Authority of Qatar (Ashghal) has issued the D & B of the three plaza areas in order to create a showcase urban area before the FIFA WC 2022 with the best of public realm, active streets, and connectivity with Qatar Museum Cultural District that is originally much larger and fully designed.
The guiding design principles and strategies have emerged from the Museum Cultural District design
information and the strategies adopted for the Central Doha to create streets with stronger public realm, sufficient width for footpaths, trees, and plazas with activities in & around.
The three plaza areas comprise Corniche Frontage with an area of approximately 45,000 m2, Civic Plaza with an area of approximately 30,000 m2, and Carston Holler Art Area with an area of approximately 6,000 m2.
