Project Description

Water Network and Pumping Stations:

Development and upgrading of Obour City water network. Objective to meet current and 10 year demands.

Key components:

  • Transmission pipelines: 60 km DI, 1,200/1,400 mm dia. Micro-tunnelling technology utilized, where needed, 4,000 reinforced concrete sleeves. Drive lengths: 50, 75 and 100 m.
  • Control system: Fibre optic network (SCADA) and flow control system.
  • Pump stations: 3 No. 6,000 l/sec. Pressure heads: 140, 94 and 60m.
