Deputy Contract Manager

Education and Professional Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Law.
  • Strong administrative skills; 10 + years of experience in Contract Management and working in multi-cultural teams.
  • Experience in the commercial management of energy-related EPC contracts

 

Specific tasks and responsibilities: 

 

  • Support contractual issues raised by the Worley team by researching the various NPPA Contracts and providing feedback. Coordinate with Worley home office legal adviser as appropriate.
  • Review letters and statements drafted by Worley team members prior to formal transmittal to NPPA.
  • Review PMM procedures including attendance in review meeting with NPPA and Contractor.
  • Assist and support NPPA Follow-Up Department Head and the subordinate Contract Managers with the review of draft letters and PMM procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Worley project team in the preparation of the EPC Obligations report by reviewing all incoming and outgoing correspondence, EPC MPR, Owner’s MPR, and issued MoM’s.
  • Lead the review of Contractor’s MPR by coordinating and consolidating comments from Worley team members and transmitting results to NPPA. Support NPPA MPR review meeting with Contractor and NPPA.
  • Lead the review of the Monthly Plant Fabrication and Shipping Progress Report by coordinating and consolidating comments from Worley team members and transmitting results to NPPA.
  • Support Contracts Manager with input to Claims Log.
  • Coordinate with Worley Project Controls manager in development of Critical Activities list for NPPA Dashboard reports.
  • Ensures that work is performed in accordance with Worley, NPPA and DNPP project internal processes and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

 

Skills/Competencies: 

 

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Outlook software.
  • Ability to manage issues to closure in a multi-cultural, ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and persuade without formal authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is essential, understanding of Arabic and Russian is a plus
  • Prudent use of confidential information
  • Organized and disciplined, capability to plan and schedule tasks and events
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Experience in auditing project related communications (letters, minutes of meeting, etc)
