Irrigation and Potable Water Lines for the New Capital
Project Description
Potable water conveyance to the New Capital:
Potable Water Lines:
Storage tanks lift station to strategic reservoir lift station:
- 16 km, 1,000 mm dia. force main from the ground reservoir pump station to the strategic reservoir pump station.
- Pump station (16 bar) and ancillary buildings and necessary units.
- Upstream strategic water reservoirs (100,000 m3).
From the strategic, water reservoir pump station to Project 110:
- 6 km, 400 mm dia. force main from the strategic water reservoir pump. 15,000 m3/day to meet construction demands.
- Pump station units in the strategic pump station and associated electromechanical works.
Potable Water from New Cairo Water Plant to Valleys Area and Project 110.
Two 1,000 mm dia. pipelines conveying 250,000 m3/day two groups:
- Group 1: Two 22 km, 1,000 mm dia. pipelines, capacity 25,000 m3/day. Via a lifting station (New Cairo Water Station) to Strategic Reservoir Pumping Station (100,000 m3).
- Group 2: Single 11 km, 1,000 mm dia. pipeline, capacity 125,000 m3/day. Via a lift station (New Cairo Water Station) to the receiving of water reservoirs (125,000 m3).
Irrigation Lines:
This project comprises the following:
- 20 km 1,000 mm dia. forced.
- Pumping station electromechanical works, ancillary buildings and necessary support units: diesel, panels and fuel depot buildings.
- Irrigation water reservoir (27,000 m3).
