ECG Takes Part in Roundtable Discussion: ‘International Cooperation for Better Education’

ECG Vice President and EBA Sustainable Development Committee Chairperson Dr. Nevine Abdelkhalek partook in a roundtable discussion on Monday 26 November 2018, organized by the Egyptian Asian Businessmen Association under the title: ‘International Cooperation for Better Education.’

The roundtable discussion was held at the Cairo Marriott Hotel, and was attended by H.E. the Ambassador of Singapore, Mr. Premjith Sadasivan, the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, Governor of Rotary District 2451/Egypt Mr. Abdel-Hamid El-Awa, as well as the Chairman of Swiss Chamber of Commerce, representatives of the Community College Initiative, and delegates from nine businessmen associations.

Dr. Abdelkhalek word came during a discussion moderated by the Executive Director of GTM Center for Global Business Excellence, Dr. Esmat Kamel, which also included other prominent speakers, such as the Cofounder & Managing Director of The Learning Resource Center Ms. Maha K. Helali, the Managing Director of the National Academy of Sciences & Skills Dr. Amr Abdel Kawi, and the Asst. VP of International Programs, Ocean County College (NJ) Dr. Maysa Abou-Youssef Hayward. She explained ECG’s role in supporting sustainable development educational programs for Egyptian youth, life-long learning and employment through implementing the University to Work Program for qualifying engineering students for domestic and international labor markets, and the School to Work Program for qualifying technical school students and graduates for the labor market.

In her capacity as Chair of the EBA Sustainable Development Committee, Dr. Abdelkhalek signed a memorandum of cooperation with nine executives associations.
