Al-Faw Electrical Substation
Project Description
The project is part of GCCIA plan to connect the electricity from GCC to Iraq through 400 KV OHTL that starts from Al Fadly (Saudi Arabia)-Al Wafra (Kuwait) to Al Faw (Iraq).
It comprises upgrading the existing substation by modifying interconnection line automation equipment and installing & commissioning two new line reactors with hybrid circuit breakers, and integrating all necessary automation equipment.
