Meeting the President

ECG President & CEO Mohamed Abdel Moniem—alongside a group of senior state officials—met with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Saturday to discuss developments pertaining to new cities’ projects nationwide. During the meeting, President el-Sisi underscored the importance of providing integrated services to citizens in one-stop areas, in order to facilitate service provision.

The meeting also included Prime Minister and Minister of Housing Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, and Chairman of the Armed Forces Finance Authority Major-General Mohamed Amin Nasr.

The official presidential spokesman, Ambassador Bassam Rady, explained that the meeting touched on the status of a number of new cities—including the Administrative Capital, New Al-Alamein City, and New Mansoura—in terms of progress made in the implementation of roads, main axes, and residential neighborhoods.

In a related context, President el-Sisi issued directives to uphold the hard work and to exert utmost efforts to render new cities as a pioneering model for life in Egypt according to modern standards. He also stressed the importance of the availability of sporting facilities in new cities in order to enable all classes of society access to exercise and a multitude of services.
