Developed to be city symbol and significant retail land mark, Mall of Arabia is one of the city's largest shopping/retail centers covering a total plot area of 882,000 sq  m, a built-up area of 267,000 sq  m, and a footprint area of 159,000 sq  m. Unfolding a contemporary architectural style, the mall is an organic spine arcade wrapped around an open-air plaza featuring terraces, pergolas, verandas, restaurants, and coffee shops. Indoors, the retail centre comprises a series of retail stores/anchors. Outdoors, 680,000 sq  m of parking space surrounds the mall's perimeter.
