The project comprises the replacement of the old Kohafa wastewater treatment plant, Fayoum pumping stations and force mains improvement program, Fayoum - Beni Suef City U.S. water treatment plant expansion of Beni Suef City wastewater treatment plant rehabilitation / expansion of Menia City U.S.
wastewater treatment plant.

Scope

  • Start up new systems: Planning and monitoring; social marketing; sewer connections; start up of the systems; sewer revolving fund and evaluation.

  • Sanitation Proven Concepts of O&M in water applied in sanitation; "OpenPlanning" mechanism for sanitation; rehabilitation existing systems and resolution of physical bottlenecks and feasibility of the UASB technology for domestic wastewater under Egyptian proven conditions.

  • Drinking Water: Reduction of Unaccounted For Water (UFW).

  • Management: Comprehensive asset management for existing applications; Fayoum Economic Management Plan model reconciliation with Holding Company requirements; capital investment planning and clear policy for outsourcing.

  • Customers: Social marketing; public awareness; customer relations; public mobilization; measures to ensure affordable and equitable services and presentation of case studies.

  • Training of FaDWASC
